Getting LIVE,..
We have ironed out the bumps and we now know, the technology to stream live gigs on PheonixRadioNet does actually work! We have tried out a live stream in simulcast with Nashville Noir Records,.. it really was quite a nail-biting time as the gig came on-line but it went pretty much without a hitch!
One thing we have to say about it, all bands in future will be asked to let the audience know they can be heard right round the world, then they will make even more noise! (Hopefully at the right times
)
We now have a whole list of bands and artists we want to get up and running live. We do however need to be at a venue WITH a connection to the internet,.. someone suggested a festival in a really remote area. Well, yes in theory it's possible to set up a satellite connection but that is often a bit costly, plus it tends to be a bit 'hit & miss' a lot of the time which is not quite so cool is it?
What is needed from a band's point of view, is a stereo out-put from a PA mixer desk that has all the sounds going through it and we do mean all of them. The only other way is for us to bring the whole rig in which case I'm afraid it simply won't be free,... his kit does cost money, both to buy and to run about with!
Hey,.. it's working,.. so why not try it out for one of your gigs? Get in touch and we will do our best to set it all up.
Cheers
