Hi people!
This is the forum for www.pheonixradio.net and the full website is now up and running but we are still 'tweaking bits'. We play independent and unsigned music of all kinds.
Our DJs come from many different backgrounds and cultures and we are always looking for new ideas, bands, artists and yes,.. DJs too, so if you want to get in touch, sign up now and communicate!
There's a chat in Javascript or if you feel at home with it, you can also use the same chat in IRC, oh you missed that link on the website? So get back there and get in there then! (Being a wee bit crazy is not compulsory but sure helps a lot.)
If you want to listen to the stream you will need Winamp or similar because our stream is encoded on a Shoutcast server at 32kbps in a new format of AAC+ so that even on dial-up you can get good quality stereo.
To get our stream in Media Player, you will need to get the ORBAN plugin (Download here) and install it on your system. Then enter icyx://pheonixradio.mixstream.net:8000 as the URL and hit PLAY!
To download Winamp for all versions of MS Windows and instructions for users of other operating systems go to:-

.. and get it installed now!
(If you have trouble with the latest version of Winamp as some of our listeners have found,.. we have a link to a slightly older stable version on our website too and we know that one works. Just don't update it when it asks you to!)
Enter this link; http://pheonixradio.mixstream.net:8000 as the stream URL in Winamp and hit the play button,.. or just hit the 'Listen Now' red buttons on the website! How easy is that?
